Why Update Shipments on Purchase Orders?

Tracking shipment information for your supplier purchase orders ensures your fulfilment workflow stays transparent, up to date, and aligned with your store’s logistics. With the Supplier Purchase Orders app, you can record and manage shipment details (company, tracking number, taxes/duties, notes) per purchase-order, and this information will appear on the PO’s downloadable PDF.

How to Add or Edit Shipment Information

Access the shipment section:

1. Navigate to the Purchase Orders section in the app and locate the desired PO which is either in Open or Partially Fulfilled status.
2. Click the Update Shipment Info button on the right of the PO’s row to open the shipment interface.

If no shipment is recorded yet:

• You’ll see a message indicating “No shipments created yet for this purchase order.”

If shipments do exist for a purchase order, you’ll see their details in a list instead.

Managing Shipments

• Click the New Shipment button. A modal form will appear with fields such as:
  • Shipping Company
  • Tracking Number
  • Taxes/Duties
  • Other internal notes (optional)
• Fill in as much information as you have; you can always update missing fields later. Once saved, this shipment info will be included when you download the PO as a PDF.

To update an existing shipment:

• Locate the shipment row in the table listing for that PO and click Edit.
• The modal will re-open with the current details — adjust any fields (e.g., if the tracking number changes, or taxes/duties are now known) and click Update Shipment.
• The PO’s PDF download will reflect the updated information immediately after saving.

To delete a shipment record:

• On the same shipment row, click Delete. A confirmation modal will display the shipment’s details. Confirm the deletion by clicking the Delete Shipment button.
• Once deleted, the PO’s downloaded PDF will omit that shipment entirely.

After shipment information has been added, this same page will instead display a table with existing shipping information.
